Browsing Google's Knowledge With TouchGraph Interface
posted by Editor on Thursday September 12, @08:06PM
Search Interfaces The TouchGraph Google Browser is a Java applet that allows users to graphically browse the "neighborhood" of related sites around a particular Web site using the link information maintained by the Google search engine. TouchGraph is an Open Source tool for visualizing networks of interrelated information. It renders networks of information concepts as fluid, interactive graphs that lend themselves to a variety of transformations. The TouchGraph Google Browser uses the Google APIs to determine the relationship between sites. Its visualizations seem to be particularly effective on non-profit organizations and special interest groups, such as Green Peace and the National Science Foundation. There is also a Google Set Vista implementation that works with Google Sets, which automatically creates sets of items from examples provided by the user.
