Innovative Computer Input Solutions
posted by Editor on Monday December 20, @07:38PM
Advanced Peripherals Chung writes "Dear editors, I hope these ideas at http://www.timeguider.com/imouse will interest you. They make mousing on tiny devices possible, thereby boosting efficiency and enabling true GUI interaction. It also enables a keyboard to instantly become a mouse just by slightly changing the user's hand gesture, consequently greatly reducing RSI while significantly improving performance. However, new input solutions seem to be very hard to convince people. Anyway, it seems that only few people could understand the power of the original mouse design when it first came out. Thanks, Chung"

    hare-brained or brilliant? (Score:0)

i can't tell if these ideas are hare-brained or brilliant. the "tailless mouse" seems like wacky kludge, and generating electricity from the user's mouse movements stretches credulity. i haven't tried using these myself though so perhaps there is something i am missing. but the "mouse board" where the keyboard is split and the parts can be moved around like a mouse seems to have potential as a way to merge typing with gesture input.
